Polishing wax to maintain indoor surfaces in Wall2Floor

Wall2Floor Maintenance Wax is a self-polishing liquid wax specifically for maintenance of indoor surfaces of the Wall2Floor system.

Wall2Floor Maintenance Wax creates a sacrificial layer that helps protect the surface from dirt and scratches deriving from everyday use.

Wall2Floor can be applied on:

  • Concrete
  • Screeds (sand and cement-based screeds, sand and specific binder for screeds, ready-made packaged screeds, self-leveling sand and cement screeds)
  • Radiant and refreshing screeds with minimum thickness, above pipe, between 30-40 mm
  • Surfaces covered with ceramic, porcelain and mosaic tiling
  • Klinker
  • Surfaces with existing epoxy or polyurethane coatings
  • Surfaces in natural and rebuilt stone
  • Mineral conglomerates of various kinds, provided they are absorbent
  • New and old plasters based on hydraulic binders
  • Organic or mineral decorative coatings

The Wall2Floor system cannot be applied to forkliftable surfaces, horizontal or vertical substrates that do not offer the necessary guarantees in terms of bonding and dimensional stability.

  • Forkliftable surfaces (garages, loading-unloading areas where the use of trolleys, transpallets, forklifts or similar, cars, etc.)
  • Radiant screeds with heating and cooling system
  • Wooden flooring
  • Linoleum
  • Pre-finished wooden flooring
  • Painted and unpainted uperfici metal surfaces
  • Glass surfaces or concrete and glass blocks
  • Moist surfaces or surfaces with rising damp
  • Do not apply to bathroom fittings or other substrates where water may be collected
  • In case of radiant screeds with electric heating system, Calcium sulphate CA or magnesite MA, other types, please contact our technical assistance service.

Application:

  1. Product preparation: homogenize the product before the use.
  2. Dilution: ready to use
  3. Application equipment: wax spread veil or damp cloth.
  4. Application: apply the excess product, taking care to saturate the porosity of the substrate. Wait a few minutes for the product to penetrate the surface and then remove any excess. Apply a second layer wet on wet, following the procedures described above.
  5. No. of coats: 1-2
  6. Coverage: 8-15 m2/l, for each layer.
  7. Drying time: touch dry after around 2-4 hours; complete 24 hours

The first cleaning operations must be carried out after drying, in general after at least 1-2 days (based on an average temperature of 25°C and a humidity of 60%)

May also be applied over:

Applicable on horizontal and vertical indoor surfaces, coated with Wall2Floor system.

Wall2Floor Maintenance Wax must be applied as a last layer, over at least two coats of one of the Clear Finish protective finishes (Glossy, Satin, Matt, Countertop, Countertop Ultra Matt).

Approximate coverage yields 8-15 m2/l, based on the type of substrate and its absorption rate and application technique used. It is advisable to determine the real yield with a preliminary test on the specific substrate.
