Lime-based powder coating for interiors, based on hydraulic lime

Archi+ Tadelakt is a mineral plaster coat in powder for interiors. It is made of natural hydraulic lime NHL 3,5 (EN 459-1), aerial lime, specific aggregates and rheological modifiers carefully selected to ensure an excellent workability.

The particular formulation allows replicating, from an aesthetic point of view, the typical finishes of the Moroccan Tadelakt.

Application:

  1. The substrate must be perfectly dry, dust-free, with no humidity and salt stains.
  2. Remove any traces of disarming.
  3. Remove with mechanic drill or high pressure washing detaching parts or traces of dirt. Level any irregularities in the surface and treat holes, cracks, cervices and gaps in indoor with specific products. Wait for the complete maturation of the substrate before to start the application.
  4. For the preparation of the substrate, Archi+ Fondo (mineral key coat) can be applied-on in one or two coats in order to build up the ideal mineral support for Archi+ Tadelakt.
  5. On dry and compact substrate, apply with brush a layer of Decofix (micronized clear sealer) properly diluted.
  6. For non-chalk, solid and compact surfaces, Novaprimer (acrylic pigmented sealer) can be applied in one layer, diluted, with brush.
  7. When the substrate is completely dry, apply one smooth coat of Archi+ Tadelakt with a stainless steel trowel.
  8. Remove any imperfection and/or the exceeding amount if any.
  9. Wait until the surface is completely dried and apply a second layer of Archi+ Tadelakt as per the previous description.

May also be applied over:

  • New and old base hydraulic binder-based plaster.
  • Gypsum and plasterboard surfaces
  • Old paints and organic or mineral coatings, dry, compact, absorbent and cohesive.
  • Various absorbent mineral conglomerates.

Approximate coverage yields 0.9-1.2 Kg/m2 (ref. to the powder), in two layers depending on the type of substrate. It is suggested to test the effective yield directly at site.
