Decorative coating for interiors, based on hydraulic lime with bigger grain
Archi+ Pietra Intonaco is a mineral plaster coat in powder for interiors. It is made of natural hydraulic lime NHL 3,5 (EN 459-1), aerial lime, specific aggregates and rheological modifiers carefully selected to ensure an excellent workability.
The particular formulation allows the attainment of top quality finishes.
For the protection of the surfaces decorated with Archi+ Pietra Intonaco a, two different solutions are available:
- Non film forming protection: recommended wherever a good resistance to water and various soluble hydro and oleo substances is required.It can be done by applying two or more layers of Nova_Wall Care (hydro-oleo-repellent wax), that protects the surface without modifying the aesthetic aspect. It is the classic solution for this kind of finishes.
- Film forming protection: it is recommended in all cases where you want to achieve a valid surface protection against cold liquids, dry heat and humid heat, for example inside the shower enclosures. It is achievable by applying a layer of Mineral Sealer (bi-component primer) and two layers of one of the Clear Finish Countertop Protection finishes (bi-component finish).
Application:
- The substrate must be perfectly dry, dust-free, with no humidity and salt stains.
- Remove any traces of disarming.
- Remove with mechanic drill or high pressure washing detaching parts or traces of dirt. Level any irregularities in the surface and treat holes, cracks, cervices and gaps in indoor with specific products. Wait for the complete maturation of the substrate before to start the application.
- For the preparation of the substrate, Archi+ Fondo (mineral key coat) can be applied-on in one or two coats in order to build up the ideal mineral support for Archi+ Pietra Intonaco.
- On dry and compact substrate, apply with brush a layer of Decofix (micronized clear sealer) properly diluted.
- For non-chalk, solid and compact surfaces, Novaprimer (acrylic pigmented sealer) can be applied in one layer, diluted, with brush.
- When the substrate is completely dry, apply one smooth coat of Archi+ Pietra Intonaco, with a stainless steel trowel.
- Remove any imperfection and/or the exceeding amount if any.
- Work the surface according to the desired aesthetic effect.
- The surface can be decorated by applying one or more layers of Patina Minerale or Fase Silossanica or Cera-Wax after at least 48 hours on completely dried surface.
- Drying time: 48 hours approx. depending on the type of substrate, its absorption rate and weather conditions.
May also be applied over:
- New and old base hydraulic binder-based plaster.
- Gypsum and plasterboard surfaces
- Old paints and organic or mineral coatings, dry, compact, absorbent and cohesive.
- Various absorbent mineral conglomerates.
Approximate coverage yields 1.8-2.2 Kg/m2 (ref. to the powder), in two layers depending on the type of substrate. It is suggested to test the effective yield directly at site.
