Anti-algae acrylic-siloxane fine plaster coating for exteriors

Concrete By Novacolor is an anti-algae acrylic-siloxane plaster coating for exteriors, fine grain (0,5-0,7 mm).

The particular grain curve of Concrete By Novacolor and the possibility to overlap it with one or more layers of Fase Silossanica, acryl-siloxane colour wash (matt), ensures to achieve cutting-edge elegant concrete effects, in line with the newest trends in the interior design.

Application:

  1. The substrate must be perfectly dry, dust-free, with no humidity and salt stains.
  2. Resurface or consolidate the surface with specific products if necessary.
  3. In case of mould, treat the surface with suitable specific products.
  4. Brush or remove any efflorescence and old peeling paint.
  5. Higher layers of old lime-based paint and tempera paint must be removed.
  6. Brush out dust, smog or other deposits before the application.
  7. In case of non-homogeneous or chalky surfaces, apply one layer of Decofix (micronized wall sealer) diluted, with a brush.
  8. In case of compact and non-chalky substrates, it is possible to apply Acricolor (coloured highly permeable water-based siloxane rimer) diluted, with a brush.
  9. Once the substrate is completely dry, apply one coat of Concrete By Novacolor with a stainless steel or plastic trowel.
  10. Remove any imperfections and/or any exceeding amount of product.
  11. Once the first layer is completely dry, apply a second coat of Concrete By Novacolor until you will obtain a homogeneous surface.
  12. Work into the product still wet with the specific “trowel for Archi+ Concrete” until reaching the desired texture typical of the product.
  13. Wait the product starts to set (partially dry) before smoothing it down with a stainless still trowel.
  14. It is possible to enhance the post-industrial concrete look applying one or two layers of Fase Silossanica with sponge, on dry surface.
  15. Apply the first layer of Fase Silossanica, diluted, with a clean and dry sea sponge.
  16. Remove the exceeding products, working the surface with a clean and dry sponge.
  17. When the substrate has dried out totally, apply a second coat of Fase Silossanica following the same procedures.
  18. Drying time: 48 hours approx. depending on the type of substrate, its absorption rate and weather conditions.

May also be applied over:

  • New renderings or old plasters
  • Concrete surfaces
  • Old paints or dry, compact, absorbent, mineral coatings
  • Various absorbent mineral substrates
  • Insulating systems
  • Plasterboards

Approximate coverage yields 1.6-2.0 kg/m2 in two coats, depending on the kind of substrate
